Lately I've been into drama-marathon-mode again so I decided to choose some drama with magnetise feedback, whether or not its on-going or completed. Innocent man was one of them in my radar since the cast consists two of my favourite actor, Song Joong Ki and Park Si Yeon.
Since its an on-going drama, I can't tell the overall review about this drama yet but there are some strong points that make it worth to watch. Anyway, Innocent Man is a story about a man who dream of becoming a doctor. But due to his relationship with a reporter, he had to dump that dream. Although always achieving first in class and being an ace student, Kang Ma Ru played by Song Joong Ki ended up being in jail for 5 years of being convicted to murder without intention.
The truth was, he was taking the blame of his beloved Han Jae Hee (Park Si Yeon) who accidentally killed a man to defence herself. Ma Ru advised her to turn herself in since she did it as a defence, the punishment would be less severe but Jae Hee who went through hardships in life cried as for-seeing her career is going down the drain. Knowing this as well, foolish Ma Ru understood the situation very quickly and told her to flee. Crazy I know but for Ma Ru who was always protecting Jae Hee knew that this was the only he can do for her and he do it for love.

Honestly, this all happened in first episode. Many were saying that they're glad the story picturing the title from the beginning rather than delaying it to few more episodes like any other drama. Usually viewers were showered with suspends and tension but in this drama its all about what's the conclusion of every development made!?
Which I'd say its annoying but at the same time excitement exploded when everything happened in split seconds. After 6 years, Ma Ru finally reunited with Jae Hee when he was trying to save a woman named Suh Eun Gi who happens to be Jae Hee's step daughter. Knowing this Ma Ru felt taken aback that his love was betrayed even after everything he had done for her.
However, Ma Ru is determined to take Jae Hee back with any cost because she was and she is the only person he ever love and will always do. So with that, he tried to irritate her cynically by capturing the heart of the cold-hearted woman, Suh Eun Gi.
I'm not sure how this drama would end though I hope the ending wouldn't be like other typical drama where the bad-ass guy falls in love for real with the person he's toying. Anyhow this is one drama that I'd recommend to check it out! ^^
Lee Yoo Bi plays as Kang Cho-co, half sister of Ma Roo. She was his second priority after Jae Hee since they both only have each other left in this world. Cho-co has an illness for years and due to Ma Ru sudden dropped out from Uni-life, he begins working as a bartender or swindler (actually a gigolo) who swindles women's money regardless of the marital status to support their life and also Cho-co's medical fee. I give her two thumbs up as a newbie because her character is alive!
Hehe we also have Lee Kwang Su who played as Park Jae Gil, Ma Ru's friend who was disowned by his wealthy father. He now worked as a singer in the bar where Ma Ru worked. He had stay with Cho-co while Ma Ru was serving time in jail and refused to go home even after hearing the news of his father's health. This is the second time I'm watching Kwang Su's drama and I must say his acting convinced me in both drama.
I guess that's it. I'll write again about this drama if there's anything interesting. Support "Innocent Man", truly amazing ... so far! ;) *smirk*
